Job Summary
The Department of Health Systems Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Nursing is seeking a Visiting Research Specialist position for a qualitative study about paternal involvement of fathers of children with different mothers.
Primary responsibilities will be to recruit study participants, schedule and conduct in-depth interviews in the participants' homes, qualitative data coding, writing descriptive summaries, attending weekly project staff meetings, and other duties as assigned. Many recruitment activities and interviews are expected to take place during normal working hours, in the evenings and on weekends.


A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social science or related field required. A Master's degree in social science preferred. A minimum of 3 years related research experience. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.
Applicants must be fluent in English, has good writing skills, and be able to work respectfully with people from a variety of racial/ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
A valid driver's license is required.
