As an employer, you may not go out of your way to be creative, but you certainly don’t want to bore job seekers as well. Speak Directly to Them
Third person postings just don’t engage the reader as much as using 2nd person and the word “You” to capture their imagination. If you’re trying to capture your audience’s imagination, the first step is to put them in the action with second person voice.
Why Not Spice It With Humor?
There are job postings that require that you know how to juggle for a living, but not all. However, if your job position could use something extra, then why not add some humor? A customer service representative could be considered a virtual juggler because they have to field multiple requests at one time.
Add An Unexpected Job Skill
Is learning how to free throw for bucks for your favorite charity included in there? This can lead them to know how important it is to hire someone involved with a specific social cause. If you put on a fashion show to fundraise, then you can also add “dressing to the nines” on particular days.
Leave a Trail
Don’t be too cute, but add enough variety to pique someone’s interest. Any fresh graduate job that can add a little mystery and fun is bound to stand out from the run-of-the-mill fare on most job boards and thus get more replies.
