Need some guidance on finding your passion?
If you’re ready to dive in but don’t know where to start, try asking yourself this one question: “Why are you doing what you’re doing?” Scott Dinsmore’s TED talk asks viewers to consider whether it is better to let others define success for them, or for each person to determine for themselves where they find meaning when it comes to choosing what they do. He also gives useful tips and strategies for figuring out just what it is that you’re passionate about.
Have you ever feared choosing one thing to do for the rest of your life?
Does your job search feel unfocused? If you’re sending resumes out to anything that looks vaguely interesting, then this is the TED talk for you. It explores the fact that some people are wired differently. If you've ever had trouble answering the question, “what do you want to do when you grow up?" or find yourself diving into something interesting then becoming bored and then rinsing and repeating, you may be a "multipotentiate". Multipotentiates are people who have multiple interests and passions that they may want to pursue simultaneously, rather than become a specialist in singular field.
